Privacy Policy

ChartSet does not collect your data. Your charts are read, transposed, and stored on your device, and Purple Iris, LLC never receives them.

Who this covers

This policy covers the ChartSet app for iPhone and iPad, published by Purple Iris, LLC, and this website at www.chartset.app.

Your charts stay on your device

When you import a chord chart, ChartSet reads the text using Apple's Vision framework and identifies chords using Apple's on-device Foundation Models. Both run entirely on your iPhone or iPad. Nothing about the chart is sent to us or to any third party in order to process it.

Your charts, chord edits, Apple Pencil annotations, setlists, and preferences are stored in the app's own storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

What we collect: nothing

• There is no ChartSet account and no sign-in.
• There is no analytics, attribution, or advertising SDK in the app.
• We do not collect or store any identifier that points back to you.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not have any.

Diagnostics

Test builds distributed through TestFlight can include a diagnostic recorder that helps us investigate stalls and crashes during live use. It is local-only and can be switched off in Settings. It never uploads anything on its own. A tester can export a diagnostic package and choose to send it to us, which is a deliberate act. The recorder records timings, navigation events, and coarse result labels. It does not record chart content or filenames.

The diagnostic recorder is not compiled into App Store release builds.

Separately, iOS may deliver Apple's own crash and performance reports to the app through MetricKit, and may send crash reports to Apple. What Apple collects is governed by your device's analytics settings and by Apple's privacy policy, not by us.

iCloud sync

ChartSet does not currently sync your library. If iCloud sync is added, your charts would be stored in your own private iCloud database under your Apple Account. Purple Iris cannot read the contents of that private database. Apple's handling of it is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Purchases

Any purchase or subscription is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales reporting only.

Children

ChartSet is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

This website

www.chartset.app is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and asks you for nothing.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
